Space Camp 2013, the pursuit for Dr Pol - join us!

Space Camp 2013, also called Dalacamp 8, is a camp for scouts and guides from Sweden and all over the world who belong to the world organizations WAGGGS or WOSM. International participants should be 12 years of age or older.

Kopparbo campsite

Space Camp 2013 will take place in real time where we, with united efforts, have to save our scoutmonaut Dr Pol Wolle-Abend and bring him back to Earth. The scouts and guides will be given the opportunity to experience many adventures in the forest, on the climbing-wall and at the lake. In the center of the campsite there will be a spacelab where the youth can learn more about space and try a lot of different activities. We will live in tents on Kopparbo's meadows and experience the outdoor life for a week.

Space Camp 2013 will take place in Sweden at the Kopparbo scout camp center in the middle of Sweden from July 27th to August 3rd 2013. The Kopparbo foundation, “Kopparbostiftelsen”, is running the Kopparbo scout camp center and organizing Space Camp 2013 on behalf of Dalarnas scout district who is a part of the The Guides and Scouts of Sweden. We estimate that about 1500 scouts and guides will get together for this adventure!

When: July 27th to August 3rd 2013.
Where: The Scout camp center Kopparbo
Who can participate: Scouts and guides age 12 and up from all organizations belonging to either WAGGS or WOSM
Cost: 1850 SEK (not including travelcosts)
Application: The final application opens January 15th, 2013 and closes April 15th 2013. Applications can be found on our website.
